About
Hi, I'm Zameer.
A psychologist for people who haven't clicked with a standard therapist before. The difference here isn't a method on a wall. It's who's in the room with you.
If you've tried therapy before and it didn't click, or you've been putting it off because you couldn't picture a therapist who'd actually get you, you're exactly who I started this practice for.
My life has stretched across Canada, India, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania and now Australia, and I speak English, Urdu and Hindi. When you've lived between cultures, you learn there's no single "right" way to think, feel or heal, and I bring that into every session.
I also know ADHD from the inside. My own late diagnosis is a big part of why ADHD and trauma are now the heart of my practice. It's harder to be fobbed off with something vague when the person across from you has felt a version of it too.
My academic background has been in biochemistry, followed by medical school, and then psychology. I've studied in four different countries. That science lens means we can get curious about how your brain actually works, which is often where lasting change starts.
My approach is warm, direct and solutions-focused, with the occasional bit of humour. Talking about serious things doesn't always have to feel heavy. The point isn't to sit with how you feel forever. It's to understand it and find somewhere to go with it.

The objective
Psychology that helps you see clearly, then gives you somewhere to go with it.
Therapy with Zameer is direct, human, and light when it needs to be. The point is to get the whirlwind of thoughts and feelings out, organise them, and process them in a way that makes sense. You get to understand how your mind works, how behaviour works, and apply that to your life.
Solutions-focused, not just affirming
We name what's actually going on and build a practical way forward. It works whether or not you've found therapy worthwhile before.
Cross-culturally fluent
Multilingual and genuinely at home across community-oriented cultures, so you don't have to translate yourself before we begin.
Real lived experience
ADHD, trauma and migration aren't just textbook topics here. Talking to somebody with lived experience can be a very different conversation.
The practice
A calm, considered space to think.
In person in Toowong, or by telehealth wherever you are in Australia.
